Work

Leadership
I am continuously working on improving my skills in situational leadership. Most recently I have held leadership roles in Product, Offering Development, Presales, Design and Technical Publications.

In previous parts of my career I worked as a startup founder and in technical operations for SaaS companies.

An Always Innovator
My early career, from 1999 to 2008 encapsulated 3 startups with two as an early technical hire and one as a founder.

The middle of my career involved the deep end of big tech and the Fortune 500, including roles at EMC and joint-ventures with Goldman Sachs.

I'm now a senior executive working with organizations of all sizes, along with private-equity portfolio companies, to execute transformational initiatives.

These initiatives spann the world of technology in areas such as developing complex B2B solutions, building new products, expanding to new markets, executing joint ventures, exploring new markets and developing new partnerships.

A Unique Lens Forged from Sales and Business Development Experience
As an experienced operator who focuses on Product and Design Leadership, I bring I distinctly unique lens to the work I do from my experience in sales and marketing.

In 2000 I sold our startup ISP's first DS1 line for $15K per year. 15 years later I sold $13M dollars of consulting services in just 2 years.

Personal Life

I married my wife Melanie in 2009 in California. Together we make it a point to make our life about new adventures we can share together, while also staying closely connected to our family and friends.

We spend our Spring, Summer and Fall in the Reno-Tahoe area, while Winter is in Phoenix.

I have a passionate interest in market disruption and continuous learning. Understanding and trying new technology is where my personal and professional interests intersect. Melanie is no longer surprised when I drag her to tours of prefab-home factories, new kinds of farms, universities or other such events.

I'm a voracious reader and firmly believe there should be more time in the world for practicing the art of photography.
